Weddington Golf & Tennis

Weddington Golf & Tennis, located in Studio City, CA, is a hidden gem that offers a unique blend of golf and tennis experiences. This family-owned establishment has a rich history dating back to the 1890s when it was originally a sheep farm before transitioning into a golf center on New Year's Day in 1956.

The reviews from customers like Aidan R., Kara S., and Stuart L. highlight the friendly staff, covered driving range, and well-maintained 9-hole golf course. The ambiance at Weddington Golf & Tennis is described as laid-back and easy-going, making it a welcoming place for both beginners and seasoned players.

As a food reviewer of Restaurant World, I appreciate the variety of amenities offered at Weddington Golf & Tennis, including tennis courts for private lessons and a cozy restaurant serving up delicious greasy spoon fare with a YELP rating of 5 stars. The affordability of the services provided, such as reasonably priced golf lessons and shaded driving range options, adds to the overall appeal of this establishment.

Despite the looming threat of demolition in April 2024, I believe that Weddington Golf & Tennis adds immense value to the Studio City neighborhood and should be preserved for future generations to enjoy. The sense of community and history intertwined with the sporting facilities make Weddington Golf & Tennis a place worth experiencing.

I've lived across the street since 1996 and now there is a "Permit for Demolition" posted along Whitsett Ave. just North of the fire station. I asked an employee who informed me that in APRIL 2024 it will be curtains for this lovely establishment.

Laid back and easy going atmosphere and the driving range is fantastic. Haven't played the course yet but every-time I have gone to the range at night I am easily able to buy a ball and find a mat to hit off of. Non judgmental clientele there so if you're a newbie don't worry, no one will care .
